SPINACH DIP

Knoors vegetable soup (i think this is a dry packet)
1 pint sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 box frozen spinach drained well
1 (3 oz) cream cheese
Blend

GLAZE FOR HAM

1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup horseradish
1/4 cup lemon juice
Combine and bring to boil

CHIL

1 pound onion
1/4 bunch celery
1 large can tomatoes
2 lbs chopped meat
1-1/4 T fat
1 T chili powder
1 cup tomato juice
2 large cans kidney beans
1/4 cup dried hot peppers
Dice onion, celery,chop tomatoes very fine, put in pot with 2 cups water, boil 90 min
Brown chopped meat in fat add chili powder mix into pot, add tomato juice and kidney beans and hot pepper and salt to taste

DATE OATMEAL COOKIES

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 T milk
1 teas vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 teas soda
1/2 teas salt
2 cups oatmeal
1-1/2 cups dates
3/4 cups nuts
Form dough in ball flatten
Bake 375 for 10 to 12 min

TURKEY DRESSING

2 loaves of bread cubed and dried
cook gizzered,liver,neck than grind up
add 1 pound cooked pork
1-1/2 cups boiled celery
1 onion graded
salt,pepper,sage
Put bread in a large dish, add meat,onion,and celery,salt,pepper, and sage
Pour broth from neck and mix till moist.
Stuff turkey

Banana Nut Bread

4 ripe bananas
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
4 cups sifted flour
4 teas baking powder
1 teas soda
1/2 teas salt
1 cup nuts
1 cup milk, sweet or sour
Sift dry ingred 3 times -cream butter, sugar, and eggs and mashed bananas and dry ingred.
blend well and put in to greased bread pan.
Bake 350 (guess 50 to 60 min)

DROP NUT COOKIES

1-1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
3 T cream
1 teas vanilla
1/2 teas salt
1 cup chopped nuts
2-2/3 cup pastry flour
2 teas baking powder
Cream butter, add sugar,beat eggs until light - add with cream to the above mixture, stir in nuts and vanilla. Drop from teas on greased cookie sheet
Bake 15 min (Guess 350 degrees)

DATE DROP COOKIES

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup cold water with a teas soda added
2 teas cinnamon
2 eggs
1 cup chopped dates
2 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 teas salt
drop teas on baking sheet
Bake at 375 for 10 to 15 min

Sour Cream Coffee Cake

1 cup shortening (1/2 butter 1/2 crisco
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
3 teas baking powder
1 cup sour cream
1 teas vanilla
1/2 teas almond flavor
1/2 teas baking soda
1/2 teas salt
Cream shortening and sugar add eggs,sour cream, vanilla,almond and the rest
P 3ut in bundt pan or loaf pan- 1/2 the batter than filling and other half and a little more filling

Filling
1.2 cup sugar
2 teas cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Bake 350 for 40 -50 min

Apple Cake

mix 1 cup oil
1-3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
add
2 cups flour
1/4 teas salt
1 teas soda
1 teas cinnamon
4 apple slices thin and cooked to tender or 1 can of apples
Bake 350 for 1 hour
(this I'm guessing ) a 9/13 pan

Cottage Cheese Salad

1 box of cottage cheese
1 can crushed pineapple drained
1 box of any flavor jello- sprinkle over cottage cheese and pineapple
and mix in 1 cup of cool whip
Let set in refrigerator

Banana Cake

2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teas baking powder
3/4 teas soda
1/2 teas salt
1/4 cup sour milk or butter milk
1 cup mashed bananas
1/2 cup shortening
1-1/2 cup sugar
2 egg beaten
1 teas vanilla

sift dry ingred. add milk to bananas, cream shortening with sugar till fluffy add eggs and beat well
Bake 375
this is a guess - 9x13 pan and 40 to 45 min

Lime Jello

1 pack lime jello
2 cups hot water
1 pack Phili Cream Cheese
8 large marshmellows in double boiler in 2 oe 3 T of hot water
1 small can of pineapple

Chop Suey

1 lb pork and 1 lb veal = fry until meat is brown then add water and cook until meat is soft. Then add chop suey sprouts and onion and celery and soy sauce and cook till celery is soft
1-1/2 T soy sauce

Spagetti Sauce

2 lb. ground chuck (brown) add
2 cans chief boyardee spagetti sauce with mushrooms
2 cans tomato sauce
green pepper, onions, garlic powder cook till done



Never Fail Hollondaise Sauce

2 egg yolks
1/2 teas salt - speck of cayenne pepper
1/2 cup melted marg or butter
1 T lemon juice
With rotary beater or mixer, beat at high speed until yolks are thick and lemon colored, add, salt pepper,then add 3 T melted butter, a little at a time beating constantly with the lemon juice. Serve with hot aspargus or brocolli, If made ahead, chill until serving time. Bring out to room temperature to serve. Keeps well for several days
